This diagram depicts a proposed expansion of the Houston TRACON airspace. The expansion is necessary to allow for the future increase in traffic volume brought about by the current building of a new parallel runway, (26R), and future runway, (27L), at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. This redesign will also result in an increase in air traffic services provided to the surrounding area.
